After serving the justice system across a range of roles, I came to recognize a consistent challenge facing local justice system leaders: the overwhelming demands of day-to-day operations often prevent them from stepping back to assess the bigger picture. Many leaders are forced to focus on immediate needs such as putting out fires, while staff wellness, long-term strategy, collaboration, and system-wide improvement take a back seat.
I launched Justice System Innovations (JSI) to help fill that gap.
JSI exists to support justice system leaders in taking a broader, more strategic view of their local system, one that focuses on outcomes, community impact, and long-term sustainability. My goal is to offer an outside perspective, facilitate collaboration, and help align departmental goals so that the justice system functions as a coordinated, effective organization that truly serves its community.
